Assistant Men's Tennis Coach- Intercollegiate Athletics Salary:Commensurate with experience

POSITIONSUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Director of Tennis, the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach is responsible for supervising, planning, and coordinating the activities of the University Men's tennis program.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches techniques to Men's tennis teammembers
Developsthe team for outside intercollegiate competition
Overseesdaily practice
Promotesthe Men's tennis program
Recruitstalented student-athletes for the Men's tennis program
Performsadministrative duties pertaining to the Men's tennis program
Assistsin the academic development of Men's tennis student-athletes
Attendsall mandatory coaches/staff meetings
Performsother duties as assigned by the Director of Tennis in conjunction with theMen's tennis program
Remainscompetent and current through self-directed professional reading, developingprofessional contacts with colleagues, attending professional developmentcourses, and attending training and/or courses as required
Completes otherduties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
At least 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate or club level or any equivalent combination of experience and training
Knowledge of and the ability to ensure compliance with NCAA Division I and conference rules and regulations and to operate within these guidelines
Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
Excellent coaching skills
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to initiate and follow through with work responsibilities
