Role: Cyber Security Consultant Contract Location: Stamford, CT Onsite Description: Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud environments by both reactively addressing and proactively preventing issues identified using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework v2.0 and the Wiz Cloud Security Platform. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to maintain and enhance the security of our cloud infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesReactive Security Management Identify and resolve compliance issues and security vulnerabilities in cloud environments based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework v2.0. Perform incident analysis and remediation to mitigate risks in real-time.Proactive Security Enhancement Implement proactive measures to prevent security and compliance issues before they arise. Design and deploy automated security and compliance monitoring solutions.Infrastructure as Code (IaC Develop and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation. Perform security reviews of IaC templates to identify potential vulnerabilities.Cloud Infrastructure Management Ensure secure and efficient operation of cloud resources in AWS, with additional experience in Azure or GCP considered a plus. Design and secure cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers. Qualifications Technical Skills: Expertise in AWS, with additional experience in Azure or GCP as a bonus. Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for IaC. In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure components, including networking, identity management, and resource security.
