Description Summary: We are seeking a Utility/Truck Driver for our Salisbury Shop location and will report to the shop Foreman. The responsibilities will include all utility functions that relate to shipping, receiving, warehouse functions, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, Shop support, and Field support. Responsibilities: Manage the safe loading and unloading of large & over weight pieces; Safe transport of such items will also be required of the position Ability to rig, climb and properly tie down equipment and materials safely Loading and unloading items from appropriate trailers, such as Lowboy and Flatbed Trailers are required Considerable night and weekend travel can be required and the driver will be expected to be able to accept unplanned conditions without issue; Travel can also be as far as our Western State locations and the likelihood of being on the road for more than one week at a time is possible but limited All maintenance and repair of the fleet will be supported by this position while traveling and while at Salisbury location Requirements: Must have Class A CDL; Experience with Lowboy Trailers and Construction Equipment Hauling preferred A strong mechanical background and working knowledge of diesel engines and tractor trailer general maintenance and repair will be necessary to perform the job functions Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements Must be willing to travel long distances and work flexible hours when required Basic Computer skills required. Computer skills for reporting, information transfer, scheduling and mapping are mandatory; Computer skills with inventory management would be a plus Ability to operate small and large forklifts to load and unload materials will be mandatory; Overhead and Yard Crane experience is a major plus.
